Presidental Elections: Obama vs. Romney via MAAT Tarot

After watching all the debates, I grew more and more confused on who is the better candidate for the next term, Romney or Obama. Who is going to win?

So I have pulled two cards, one for Romney and another for Obama. Romney gotten Queen of Swords, which I interpreted as a loss since the woman on the card has suffered enough losses and gotten over it enough to reach out to others. this card is often is seen as "the bitch". Smart, sharped-tongued but at loss.

Obama has gotten 10 of Coins - inheritance, family genetics, something that is passed on from generation to generation. I interpreted it as Obama will "inherit", a.k.a. get the next term.

Well, all I can do now is wait and see how correct my interpretations were.

Prince of Cups

March 21st

General Meaning:

My story:

The Fool

March 21st

My story:
This card came up when questioning the situation in a family of an aquaintance who recently came across long lost relative. They seemed to realize that situation was more complicated than they could ever have thought, that they were accepting a stranger into their home and that they don't really know this person and should not take the whole situation lightly.

Why did this person suddenly decided to come back into their life? What made them do that and what were their intentions? it might seem simple at the first glance, but I think they are in for a surprise...
Another situation when this card came up was when a person expected somthing would be simple and had no idea that things were much more complicated than they expected. A lot mo0re work is required than originally expected. Things are not always what the appear to be at first.

General Meaning:
A trusting individual who takes a leap of faith thinking things will be "all good", only to find that things are much more complicated than originally anticipated. taking a jump into the void or unknown circumstances.

4 of Wands

March 18th

General Meaning:
Planning for an event, time for initiating or drafting a plan for some important future activity. Traditionally this card means celebration and coming of age.

My story:
To me this card represents end of winter and early spring, when the early flowers and grass are not yet peeking through but the snow is ready to melt. The earth is warming in anticipation, still waiting for action. So in the reading it might mean that you or someone is waiting for some sort of action, for something to happen and even though nothing has happened yet, it is coming very soon.

One time I pulled this card when it was time for my son was about to start daycare for the first time in his life. It was an exciting and happy time to see my son grow and learn and to gain more independence from us, but at the same time filled with concern and worry. How will he adjust? How will we adjust?
Even though I was nervous, I knew that starting daycare will be one of the best things ever for our little one, and even though the whole thing was pretty nerve wrecking, I was planning on having a little celebration the weekend before and the weekend after his first day.
Another time I pulled this card when some relatives were planning on coming for a visit and even though they were not there yet, the tickets were purchased and suitcases were ready for packing.

February 18th

General Meaning:
Traditionally means you have an advantage even though you are outnumbered and the way to maintain your advantage is to stay mindful of your personal position and keep your focus. Do not give up your principles and things that matter to you just to keep the peace.

Also this card means being exposed to new cultures and customs. interesting and stimulating exchange that changes us and at the same time we change those who comes in contact with us.
The good ideas stick and outmoded ideas may be left in the dust waiting to be rediscovered.

My story:
I pulled this card when my husband and I were having conflicts with people who did not approve of our ideas about raising OUR son. LOL yes, people raised hell when they realized that we want to raise our child our way and not theirs.
I took the meaning of the card as not letting people change us and sticking to what WE believe is good for our son. People had a choice to either grow up and begin to respect us and our parenting decisions or show themselves out.
Even though we were outnumbered, we had the power to say "no" and we stood our grounds no matter what.

5 of Wands

February 10th

General Meaning:
Banter and gaming, friendly rivalry. The older man mentoring and challenging the skills of the younger male, knowing he will inevitably forfeit his power to him.

My story:
Usually this cart is pointing to so sort of patronage, usage of condescending tone with someone, desire to show your superiority, a rivalry, not intended to defeat but to teach and guide to the right path. A warning here to stop and think, what is that you want to accomplish? Do you wish to irritate and push someone away with your lectures or do you wish for them to listen to you and possibly take your advice? If the latter, then change the way you preach. Most times this card came up in the reading, one person tried to pass on their experience in knowledge to another, but in such a way that their offer of help was rejected. Change the ways you present the information to others and who knows, you might be heard.

The Chariot

January 20th - February 18th

My story:

Reversed often points out to feelings that things are slipping out of your control and that you do not have a say in the current situation. Feelings of helplessness and hopelessness. While in the upright position there is some kind of level of control possessed by the querrent, in the reversed position there is absolutely none.

General Meaning:

Inability to perform a task because you don't have all the control. Just like a chariot depends on more than one wheel, the resolution of your situation depends on more than one factor and/or another person, so you do not have control over all of them

10 of Wands

January 18th

General Meaning:
This card represent a burden you have been carrying on your own. This burden has obscured your view of your life path. pass your skills or information to the next generation, allowing them to joi in on the work. This will teach them something important and lighten your load. this card can also suggest moving to a new location.

My story::
I pulled this card in response to a question what will be my pregnancy like. Well, it was hard since it was not easy being a small fragile girl, growing a large baby. My son was born full term, at 7lbs 10oz. Like the woman on the card, carrying a load on her shoulders, I was carrying my precious load in my belly.

As far as the pregnancy itself, it was pretty difficult, since my husband did not have a job all winter and I was the only one providing while I had very little energy and had very strong contractions, not to mention other fun things pregnancy brings. On top of struggling to make ends meet, I had to do a lot of household chores and prepare the house for our baby.

Finally I had to sit my husband down and explain to him how exactly he can help and what do I expect him to do. Towards the end of second trimester he assumed part of the load in form of various household chores and learned to make some foods I often craved.

Queen of Wands

January 3rd

General Meaning:
Making something out of nothing. Suspended activity.

My story:

To me this card represents a person who makes something out of nothing. One has to be careful around this person for they will turn around anything and everything and use it against you. their tendency to exaggerate is ridiculous.

Here is an example: You have been invited to a party by this woman and you politely decline, explaining that you are extremely exhausted and attending a party would be too much for you, considering your current condition.
Next day you find out that she blew it out of proportioned and accused you of being hateful and raising hell in response to her kind invitation. Queen of Wands tends to break off relationships with loved ones in the heat of the moment and use anything you say against you.
If you tell this woman to say hi to her brother and that you have missed him, she will tell her brother that you are mad at him because he hasn't visited you in a while, even though you never said such a thing
